3D Printing in Mexico City

Are you looking for something interesting to do with your kids this weekend in Mexico City? Have you heard of 3D printing but not are not quite sure what it can be used for? Just looking for something new in the city? I highly recommend you check out the 3D Lab FabCafe,  Tonala 89 in Col. Roma.  Screen Shot 2014-11-03 at 2.51.55 PM
I visited with my husband and daughters ages 5 and 8 and we all had a wonderful time.  The girls loved playing with the 3D Doodling pens and  had fun watching a bracelet being printed.  In the cafe you can create your own 3D files if you already know how to or print something you have found on an open source site such as Thingiverse.  In addition, Robotix is  offering a course on 3D printing in Mexico City starting on November 15, 2014.

3D printing is revolutionizing everything from fashion to manufacturing and even organ transplants. Our children will live in a world  in which anything can be printed on demand. A s teacher and a mother I want my kids to have contact with this technology as quickly as possible and learn how to apply it to many aspects of their life and education. It is nice to know that there are finally options for them to have contact with this technology in Mexico City.
